 ACTOR . CREATOR. THEATRE MAKER.

POST MODERNIST: Deconstruction

Viewpoints ultimately comes down to careful deconstruction. Getting down to the fine details. This is a refining process of understanding the deconstruction of the whole in order to achieve reconstruction of the whole as it was intended. A true deconstruction asks us to take apart an object by its seams. We learn how it went together by taking it apart. We gain a huge depth of knowledge of the object, how it works, perhaps it's history by taking it apart and studying it's parts and pieces on a continually deeper level. Because of this methodical process, we have all the knowledge we need in order to put it back together and the object can return to it's original state, however we are now changed. We have gained a huge amount of intelligence and earned a relationship with the object through that investigation. This all points us toward integration with our world. As a performer it earns us the ability to exist among these objects and generate a powerful dialogue between ourselves and them that is readable by an audience.
